As for pills, they may suggest them, but... You can refuse (in CO, as long as you're 16+, you have a say in that, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, it's actually and for seriously the law).
You can refuse pills but your mom can approve them and they won't give them to you.
You can approve pills and your mom can refuse and they'll give them to you (which is good because you don't want them anyway, so...)

And even if they suggested pills, it's a GREAT BIG HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS.

They suggested them for me, like, my second fucking visit, and then there was all this waffling around between me and my mom about if I NEEDED them or not...

and once we finally decided that yes, I did need them, we had to have these two hour-long visits to Make Sure, then we got these retarded four-page packets FULL of questions to answer (one for me to fill out about myself, one for each parent to fill out about me), then they have to process those and give you a score and then they send the score and the papers to the family doctor and you get a retarded check-up and papers from that which get sent back to the Psych place, where they select a psychiatrist for you, and then you gotta go through four visits with him before they even prescribe you anything.

All in all, getting pills takes roughly two months plus, total. >:I fuck you too, psychiatry. Some of us need them so as not to go batshit fucking insane.


Anyway.

As for them telling your mother, yeah, they have to tell her you're going and why and all that fancy hoe-down BS, but once you actually start going, unless you visit the shrink with your mom in the room (which will happen once for processing, MAYBE twice), they tell her nooooothing.

Nothing, ever.

Unless it's something like, you were raped/beat up by someone who wasn't her, and unless you WANT her to know.

By law they're required not to tell her anything you talk to the psychologist about unless your mother is in the room.

On the bright side, when I'm happy, it's FANTASTICALLY so, but that hasn't been often lately with Perry and such. :/ Fail life, fail. But I'm fine and thanks for the concern Spencer, ILU. <3
